I approach every Moss Apparel design through photography first. I look for real wildlife, real landscapes, and moments that communicate something about the natural world. Then I build apparel around those images so they can become part of everyday life.
That means creating more than individual shirts. I am building a complete wardrobe system: lightweight T-shirts for warm days and easy layering, crewnecks for dependable mid-weight comfort, and thick hoodies for colder mornings, evenings, and everyday outdoor wear.

For the first layer, I want something soft, breathable, and easy to wear on its own. It should also fit comfortably beneath a sweatshirt without adding unnecessary bulk.

For a clean alpine-inspired outfit, I would pair this hoodie with a simple solid T-shirt underneath. In colder conditions, add a long-sleeve thermal layer and a weatherproof shell.
SEASON-BY-SEASON LAYERING FORMULAS
Summer
Wear either T-shirt on its own. Keep the hoodie nearby for cool evenings, travel, or air-conditioned spaces.
Spring
Start with the lightweight Glacier National Park T-shirt. Add the crewneck in the morning or whenever temperatures drop. Use the hoodie when you need additional warmth.
Fall
The heavyweight hawk T-shirt works well as a more substantial base. Add the crewneck for moderate cold and the hoodie for colder mornings and nights.
Winter
Layer a thermal base underneath a Moss T-shirt, then add the crewneck and hoodie. For snow, rain, or strong wind, finish with a technical outer shell.
Cotton-rich apparel is comfortable for everyday use. For high-output activities in cold or wet conditions, I recommend adding a moisture-managing technical base layer and a weatherproof shell.

About Robert Moss
For me, nature photography begins with respect. I believe the best wildlife photographs come from observing rather than interfering by allowing an animal, landscape, or moment to exist naturally and being patient enough to capture it as it unfolds. My goal is not simply to photograph wildlife, but to create images that convey the character, beauty, scale, and vulnerability of the natural world.
From wildlife encounters to remote landscapes and underwater environments, I am drawn to moments that remind us how extraordinary the wild still is. I approach each photograph with the intention of keeping the scene authentic, preserving the natural behavior of the subject and the atmosphere of the place.
